About The Department

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department has been a leading institution since it was established in 2001. It began with 60 seats for students and has steadily adapted to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field. By 2005, the department had doubled its intake to 120 seats, and by 2015, it increased further to accommodate 180 students. By 2022, the department's capacity expanded to cater to 300 students.

In 2008, acknowledging the need for advanced education, the department introduced its post-graduation program, offering M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with an initial intake of 18 seats. This capacity doubled to 36 seats by 2022, demonstrating the department's commitment to providing higher education opportunities.

The department operates under the authority of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and maintains permanent affiliation with JNTU Kakinada University. Notably, in the academic year 2014-15, the department attained autonomous status, highlighting its dedication to academic freedom and innovation in curriculum development and administrative processes.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is dedicated to promoting excellence in both education and research. Its esteemed faculty consists of highly qualified and experienced professionals specializing in various domains, including Machine Learning, Data Science, Networking, Algorithms, Data Mining, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Network Security, Computer Vision, Web Technologies, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing Services.

To ensure that students stay abreast of industry demands, the department provides ample exposure to cutting-edge technologies and trends through workshops, guest lectures, seminars by industry experts, and professional certification programs. These activities equip students with practical skills and knowledge in areas such as IoT applications design and development, Cisco network management and administration, cloud services, bioinformatics, software architecture, sensor networks, cloud computing, mobile computing, soft computing, blockchain technology, and artificial intelligence.

The department's well-equipped laboratories, along with high-speed internet facilities, enable students to conduct research and practical experiments effectively. Access to a comprehensive range of software tools and teaching aids, including Microsoft software systems and Linux systems acquired through agreements with Microsoft Corporation and Redhat Linux, further enhances the learning experience.

Moreover, the department offers value-added educational programs, including industry certifications in CCNA, Sun Java, RedHat Linux Certification, and others, to enhance students' employability and skill set. Through these initiatives, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is committed to nurturing competent and ethical professionals capable of making significant contributions to the ever-evolving field.
