Program Educational Objectives:

1: To provide students with a solid foundation in fundamentals of Management Science which become the platform on which problem solving structures develop.

2: To prepare students for a logical and practical approach towards problem solving and function effectively as skilled managers who can respond to dynamic environment in a social and global context.

3: To imbibe in students, professional ethics and values and promote awareness among students towards issues of social responsibility of Business.

4: To inculcate in students the ability to gain multidisciplinary knowledge through live projects and operations workouts, so that they can remain competitive and functional in the market.

5: To develop self-learning ability in the students by inculcating the philosophy to continuously learn, update, experiment and avail opportunities so that they remain relevant and productive in whatever areas they pursue their careers.

Swaranandhra College of Engineering & Technology started its ambitious MBA programme by launching its Flagship "SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES" from the academic year 2007-08. School of Management Studies launched its MBA programme with a vision to produce globally competitive, wise, virtuous entrepreneurs and professional managers. The School of Management Studies has well qualified and experienced faculty, comprising of one Professor, eight Asst. Professors. The faculty has one Ph. D, one M. Phil. Two faculty members are pursuing PhD. Besides regular teaching, innovative programmes like group discussions, seminars, guest lectures, role plays, personality development and soft skills, case studies, industrial visits etc.., are organized.

Vision: To recognize as contemporary, progressive and leading School of Management Studies that fosters leadership and provides exposure to all aspiring students from various backdrops.

Mission: Developing sensible, responsible and insightful leaders among the students by fostering excellence in the classroom through activity based learning that provide exposure and in stills employability.

The MBA Programme is permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada and approved by The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Institution attained the Autonomous status in 2014. It has adopted a Choice Based Credit System (CBSC) in 2016 which provides an opportunity for the students to select a course of their choice.

The present intake of the programme is 60 students selected through Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET), conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh. The programme is administered in four semesters spread over two years. The students are exposed to as many as 30 subjects, 2 labs and one main project during the course of the study. Basic management subjects followed by functional and technical subjects are introduced in the first and second semesters. The student is exposed to advanced management subjects and elective subjects in specialization area in the third and fourth semesters. The School of Management Studies is presently offering three main specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance and HR.

The student is also required to undergo a Six Week Project Study in a reputed organization during the fourth semester.
